The award includes that the work will be purchased by Global Factories and added to its art collection.

At the opening of Open Art Fair 2010, the stand of ESTeeLIE Contemporary was honored with a visit by Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende.

“STATUS – The Art of Exhibition of Zhang Jianqiang.”

The solo exhibition consists of selected artworks “Registration Form, Letter and Paper”.
The works are based on the art form of new cultural criticism or “New Realism”.
Zhang Jianqiang uses the technique of arts to face the reality, re-examine the self, impartially project the view to the scenes of the real China, describing the difficulty, the helpless and the suffering.

The exhibition theme is about flowers.
Zhang Jianqiangs art is striking because of the flowers and the colour. But are they really flowers? In the Chinese tradition flowers are the symbol of life. So the flowers of Zhang Jianqiang may not be flowers. They could be scars or even blood stains, observed through bloodshot eyes, grieves over the years, and even more .....
Zhang Jianqiang believes the red of Communism has faded.

You are most welcome to visit the exhibition.
During the exhibition works from Zhang Jianqiang, Annette Born, Sigrid Calon, Jacques van Erven, Marianne van Heeswijk, Marianne van Hest and Edith Meijering will be shown.
