Founded in 2007, to meet the growing interest in Contemporary Chinese art.

My interest in Contemporary Chinese art. was aroused in 2005, when I met young artists in their studios in Beijing. I was immediately struck by their art work of high quality. Since 2005 I have paid many visits to the artists studios.

It is my goal to represent and to promote these and other young and promising artists in the Netherlands and abroad. On our website you will find articles and information about our artists.

The artists work from their Chinese context.

The Chinese tradition is thousands of years old. Chinese philosophy is based on emotion rather than logic or rationality. Poets and painters use nature as symbols to express themselves. Flowers, birds, mountains and water express several individualities, feelings, education, ideas and emotions. Chinese attitude is to suggest a shape as a hint of the universe. This has not changed in the past thousands of years. However, the form in which contemporary art comes forward, appears western to us. Therefore the Contemporary Chinese art distinguishes its self from the western art.

It seems that the past few years Contemporary Chinese art has no longer been hampered by restrictions. Many artists can express their opinion and feelings by means of their work. Nowadays Contemporary Chinese art has become more and more mature.
